Thinking back to my first carpet install with my dad

I mean, it was probably twenty years ago now. We had this huge roll of berber for the living room and just a knee kicker and a utility knife. Idk, maybe it's just me but everything felt more hands on back then. Now with stretch tools and pre-cut pads, it's like a different world. Still, there was something about getting it done with just the basics.

No way, what part of the job felt like the biggest struggle?

Disagree hard here @kim.nina. Biggest struggle was actually the quiet days with no problems to solve. Felt like I wasn't adding any value just waiting around. That mental boredom wore me down more than any crisis.

Is boredom from quiet days really worse than dealing with crises? Hard to buy that unless the work is pointless.
