Had a panic attack in the Kroger parking lot over my credit score, then did the most boring thing possible
I used to think checking my credit score was pointless because it just made me feel bad. Then about 2 years ago I sat in my car outside the Kroger on Maple Street in Louisville and cried because I got denied for a $3,000 loan I really needed for a car repair. A friend who works at a bank told me to stop guessing and just pull my report once a month, which sounded annoying. I did it anyway and it turned out there was a $340 medical bill from 2021 sitting on there that I never even knew about. I called the hospital, paid it off in 3 calls, and my score jumped 60 points in about 6 weeks. It was so boring and small that I almost skipped it, but thats what actually fixed things. Did anyone else find out their credit problem was way smaller than they thought?
