I thought reusable shopping bags were a scam until I actually counted
For years I was that person rolling my eyes at checkout when people brought their own bags. Seemed like a hassle for no real gain. Then I moved to Berkeley and my local store started charging 10 cents per plastic bag. After three trips I had spent $4.50 on bags alone. Now I keep five folded ones in my car and honestly I get why people do it, even if the savings are tiny. Has anyone else had a moment where a small inconvenience turned out to actually help?

Read somewhere that if everyone switched to reusable bags, it'd save like billions of plastic bags a year from landfills. @the_ruby that jacket pocket trick is smart, I need to start doing that.

Yeah keep a couple in every jacket pocket too, you'll never get caught without one.

Lol @the_ruby I love this but my executive dysfunction says nah, I'll just forget the bags exist and buy more at checkout every time. At least my jacket pockets are always ready for a new bag I'll lose in a week.
