Three years ago I swore I'd never shop at Aldi. Now I'm that person who brags about my $45 weekly haul.

I used to think Aldi was just weird off-brands and bad produce. Then my buddy dragged me to the one on Broadway last month because I was broke after a car repair. Grabbed a basket for fun. Walked out with two full bags for $47 and change. Their organic chicken is legit and the German chocolate bars are insane. Now I'm there every Tuesday. Anyone else have a store they totally judged wrong at first?

Yeah, just watch their produce and only buy what you'll use in 2 days max.

Man, that's exactly how it went for me too! I walked past that place for years thinking it was some weird discount thing. Then my wife needed milk one night and I ran in just for that... came out with a cart full of stuff and like sixty bucks still in my wallet. The produce took some getting used to I'll admit, gotta eat it quick or freeze it. But their meat department is solid and I swear their frozen pizzas are better than the name brand ones. Now I plan my whole week around what they have in stock.
