Back in the day I thought those new flexible rods were just a gimmick
My old boss in Cleveland swore by the solid steel rods, said anything else was junk. I tried a set of those polypropylene ones on a tricky offset flue about five years ago, expecting them to snap. They actually handled the bends way better and saved me a ton of time on that job. Now I keep a full set in the truck, they're my go-to for most residential stuff. Anyone else make the switch and find it changed how you tackle certain chimneys?

Yeah, had the same thought at first. Those flexible ones totally changed how I handle tight spaces now, wouldn't go back.

Totally... the right angle ones are a game changer too. Keep a couple different sizes in my bag, saves a trip back to the toolbox every time.

Honestly the magnetic tip ones are what did it for me. Dropped a bolt in a tight spot last week and just fished it out, saved so much time.
