Had a string of perfect flue pulls last Thursday, felt like a scam

I was working on a house over on Maple Street, and every single liner slid in smooth on the first try, no fighting with offsets or blockages. Usually I'm wrestling with a bird nest or crumbling mortar for half the day, but this time everything just lined up perfect. Has anyone else ever had a day where the chimney gods just smiled on you for a change?

Man last Thursday was the third time this year I've had a perfect run like that, and it always happens when the weather's been dry for a few days straight. Its weird how sometimes everything just flows easy, like when you hit every green light on your way to a job or the hardware store actually has the one fitting you need in stock. But then other times its like the universe is messing with you just to balance it out, you know? I've started keeping a little log of when my easy days happen, just to see if there's a real pattern or its all random. You ever notice if your good luck seems to cluster around certain conditions?

Dry weather is key, I've noticed the same thing. No moisture means the mortar is brittle and the liners slide like butter. Had one stretch last fall where every single job went smooth for like two weeks straight, then a big rainstorm hit and it was back to wrestling with everything. Probably just random luck but it feels too consistent to be coincidence.
