Had to choose between a rotary and a manual sweep kit for my first job
Went with the manual kit because it was $80 cheaper and I figured I'd learn the feel first. First chimney I did was a straight flue with heavy creosote buildup and it took me close to an hour longer than a rotary would have. Anyone else start with manual and regret not spending the extra cash right away?

Nah, manual teaches you the real feel of the job.

Manual is fine if you like slowing everything down and shifting gears yourself. But automatic just makes driving feel way more relaxed, especially in traffic. Different strokes for different folks, but I'll take the ease of auto any day.

Ngl, learning on a manual made me a better driver with faster reaction times in the first six months.
