I finally tried the rope and weighted bag trick on a stubborn flue, and it worked on the first pull
I figured a 10 lb bag dragging a poly rope down a 20 ft flue in a 1920s house on Elm Street would just jam up like everything else I'd tried. Took me 4 passes to feel the brush hit clean, but has anyone else had it snag on an offset liner and what did you do?

That offset liner will eat a rope every time. Twisting the rope as you feed it helps it slip past the lip instead of catching.
