Rant: the homeowner's parrot almost cost me a whole job in Tampa
Was doing a routine sweep at this house near Tampa last Tuesday and the lady's African grey kept yelling my name from the other room. I'd poke my head out of the firebox every time because I thought she needed something, and the bird just stared at me. Third time it happened I lost my grip on the brush and dropped it down the flue, took me 20 minutes to fish it out with a magnet. Now I ask every customer up front if they have a talking bird before I start. Anyone else get thrown off by a pet on the job?
