That one customer in Springfield who argued about creosote buildup for 20 minutes
Had a guy last Tuesday who insisted I was lying about the creosote in his flue being dangerous. He said he'd been burning the same wood for 15 years and never had a problem, pointed right at the 1/4 inch buildup and called it 'normal.' I finally had to pull out my phone and show him the NFPA 211 chart before he'd even listen. Any of you ever get folks who think they know more than the code?

Third call this month with that exact same argument. I keep a printed copy of the NFPA 211 in my truck now just for these folks. What gets me is they think because they haven't had a fire yet, it means the rules don't apply to them. Show them a picture of a chimney fire aftermath and they still argue it won't happen to them. I usually just say "look, if you want to sign a waiver saying you refuse cleaning based on your 15 years of luck, that's your call. But I'm not putting my license on the line for your opinion." That shuts most of them up real quick.
