Used to fight a top hat for 20 minutes, now I just pop it off in 2
Back in 2019 I was working a job in Cleveland and spent almost half an hour prying off a rusted cast iron top hat with a crowbar and hammer, busting my knuckles twice in the process. Last week I bought a $15 ratchet strap from Harbor Freight, wrapped it around the base, and turned it a few clicks - the thing popped loose in under two minutes without a scratch. Has anyone else found a tool that completely killed an old headache job?

And the craziest part is I probably spent more on band-aids back then than I did on the strap.
