Hot take: I ditched the fancy rust remover for plain white vinegar in my '65 Mustang floor pans

Everyone raves about those $40 chemical baths, but after I left the panels soaked in cheap vinegar for 48 hours in my garage near Akron, the scale just crumbled off with a scraper. Am I missing something, or did I just save myself $120 for the same end result?
