Unpopular opinion: those $45 "correct" repro wiring harnesses cost me a full weekend
I bought a cheap reproduction harness for my 66 Mustang off a guy at the swap meet in Carlisle and figured how bad could it be. Two days in, half the connectors didn't match the factory plugs and the wire colors were off from the shop manual, so I ended up tracing each circuit by hand with a test light. Wound up ordering a $180 harness from a shop in Ohio that actually uses the right gauge wire and color coding. Anyone else get burned trying to save a buck on electrical stuff, or is it just me?
