Warning: the chrome on the 1957 Bel Air at the Henry Ford Museum got me into a 2 hour argument
I was up in Dearborn last weekend walking the museum floor and stopped dead at a black 1957 Bel Air, mostly because the chrome looked almost too good. An older guy next to me swore it had to be a full rechrome done with triple plating, while I figured the folks running that place just keep it polished with simichrome and a lot of elbow grease. So which is it, do museum cars get treated like show cars or do they just get wiped down and left alone?
