I put my 67 Impala on jack stands for 8 months and the seals dried out, worst idea I ever had

Watched my buddy do the same thing with his old truck and he came back to a puddle of oil under the whole motor. Every gasket and seal had shrunk up from sitting dry that long. Fire it up and check for leaks before you go anywhere, because they might swell back or you might be pulling the motor apart.
