Got chewed out at work for recycling wrong... in a 'green' office building

Was at my desk in downtown Austin last Tuesday when the building manager emailed everyone. Turns out I put a greasy pizza box in the mixed paper bin. Our whole floor got a passive aggressive lecture about 'contamination rates' in front of the CEO. Now I'm triple checking every scrap before tossing it. Has anyone else dealt with office recycling rules that make zero sense?

I saw this article the other day about how over 60% of people go back and check things like locks and appliances after leaving the house. Honestly, it's way more common than most folks realize. Tbh it sounds like your friend is just dealing with that stress in a big way. Ngl I probably would have checked the door three times before even getting to work.

Wait, your friend actually did that? I had a buddy who locked himself out of his apartment twice in one week because he kept second-guessing himself after he left. Ended up having to call a locksmith both times, cost him like 200 bucks total. He started taking a picture of his locked door every morning just to prove to himself it was done. It's wild how that little doubt in the back of your head can just snowball into full-on paranoia.
