I spent $400 on a home energy audit and it showed me exactly where my money was leaking out.

The report pointed to my old water heater and attic insulation, so now I'm looking at a heat pump water heater, but does anyone have a good installer recommendation in the Pacific Northwest?

Did your audit give you a cost breakdown for the fixes? Mine did, and it was a shock. Seeing the payback period on paper for the water heater made the choice easy. I went with a local company called GreenTech installs, they were solid.

Check with your power company for their rebate list, they usually have vetted installers. Got mine through that program and the whole thing was way smoother.

Ouch, that's a big upfront cost but at least you have a clear target now. Heat pump water heaters are supposed to be great for our climate. Did you check with your utility company? Sometimes they have a list of approved contractors.
