My nephew told me to switch to beeswax wraps. I laughed at him, now I owe him an apology.

I've been using plastic wrap for years for everything, leftovers, sandwiches, you name it. My 14 year old nephew, who's really into environmental stuff at school, kept bugging me to try beeswax wraps instead. I told him those were just a fad for rich people on Instagram. Last month, I finally bought a pack for $15 at the farmer's market in Portland just to shut him up. And honestly, they work better than I thought. They stick to bowls perfectly and I haven't used a single roll of plastic wrap since. Has anyone else had a similar experience where someone young convinced you to try something and it actually stuck?

Ha! My neighbor swore her vegan kale chips would change my life. They did not.

Did you read that study about how beeswax wraps actually keep food fresh longer than plastic in some cases? I saw it on NPR a while back and it made me curious enough to try them.
