My stubborn stand against biking to work melted after one rainy morning

I was SO sure that driving my car was just easier, no matter what. Biking to work seemed like a hassle, especially with bad weather. But last week, I got caught in a downpour and had to walk part way because of traffic. I saw a bunch of people on bikes ZIPPING past, looking actually HAPPY. It made me stop and think about all the fuel I was burning for short trips. I did some reading and found out that transportation is a HUGE part of personal carbon footprints. Now I'm giving biking a real shot, and it's not as hard as I thought. My lungs feel better, and I'm helping the planet every day.

Took a whole rainstorm to figure out bikes move faster than stuck cars, huh? Classic. Welcome to the smug cyclist life, lmao.

Nailed it. We love watching cars crawl in bad weather.

My friend Alex rode his bike home in a downpour and beat every car on the road.

My smugness level hit 100% when I passed a bus just sitting there.
