Picked mason jars over fancy reusable containers for my zero waste switch

I spent 60 bucks on those trendy glass meal prep containers and they all cracked in the freezer after two months. Swapped to old pasta sauce mason jars I got for free and they've lasted over a year. Plus I can actually see what's inside without opening every lid. Has anyone else found that the simplest option beats the expensive eco-friendly stuff?
