Spotted 3 solar panels on a neighbor's roof in Buffalo and it made me rethink my whole street
Last week I was walking my dog before my night shift and counted 3 houses on my block in Buffalo with solar panels now, when 2 years ago there were zero. I stopped and talked to the guy on the corner and he said his electric bill dropped about $60 a month after the panels went in. What got me was how normal it looked, not some big fancy setup, just panels on a regular old house like mine. I keep thinking about how one guy doing it got me counting roofs, and now I'm wondering who else on the block is on the fence. Has anyone here actually priced out panels for a small older house, and did the numbers work out or was it more hassle than it was worth?
