Vent: My town's 'green week' felt like a total joke
Last week our city council in Springfield held a big event with free trees and a bike repair station, but the same day they approved a new 200-car parking lot for the shopping plaza. I spent three hours volunteering at the tree booth just to watch them pave over a whole field. How can we take any of this seriously when the actions don't match the words?

Ever notice how they slap a tiny park next to a huge parking lot and call it green space? It's the same cheap trick everywhere. Feels like they think we're stupid.
