Air compressor moisture trap in Phoenix, is it even worth it?
Was down at a buddy's shop in Phoenix last week and his lines were spitting water everywhere, he swears a $150 dryer unit fixed half his tool failures. I told him in this dry heat you're just wasting air pressure and money, but he showed me the rust dust in his old filters. Who else runs dryers in desert climates and actually sees a real difference, or is that just extra gear for humidity states?

Rust dust in his old filters" sounds like he's running a sandblaster on half settings, not an air compressor. Phoenix is dry as a popcorn fart most days, but that monsoon humidity sneaks in and turns your lines into a swamp cooler. If he's seeing actual water spray, the dryer isn't wasted air pressure, it's cheaper than replacing every impact wrench in the shop.

Wait, am I the only one who'd probably just weld the whole thing shut and call it a day?
