Dropped $450 on a cheap ATC spindle and it paid for itself in 3 weeks
The thing was a gamble from an auction site, but it kept my job running while the good spindle was down, so has anyone else taken a chance on budget parts just to keep the lights on?

Ha! Yeah, I grabbed a beat-up dust collector off a salvage lot once just to keep my shop from getting shut down by the inspector. Thing sounded like a jet engine but ran for six months straight without a hiccup. Sometimes you just gotta gamble on the ugly stuff to get by.
