I was using the wrong coolant mix for months on our Haas VF-2

Kept getting rust spots on aluminum parts after they sat overnight. My boss in Toledo finally asked if I was mixing it 10 to 1 like the jug says. I was just eyeballing it. Started measuring with a ratio cup last week and the problem vanished. How do you guys handle coolant mixing on your machines?

We just buy the pre-mixed stuff now.

Honestly, the pre-mixed is the move now, even @wade_wood's old shop would probably switch.

Guess it works if you're doing big batches. Allen's right about the mix being easier but is the eyeball method really that bad for small jobs?
