Just buried a $400 probe in chips, my own fault for rushing

I left the fixture probe on during a rapid move on a Haas VF-2 yesterday and it plowed right through the coolant line before the alarm even blinked. Anyone else had a near miss with probe retract offsets on older machines, or am I the only one who skimped on the post-edit dry run?

Ugh, that hurts just reading it! We've all been there though, skipped the dry run when we were in a hurry and paid for it in parts and pride. At least the machine didn't eat the spindle too, so there's that small win.
