Just realized how much a broken coolant line in Toledo changed my routine

It happened during a big run of 304 stainless parts, and the mess made me start checking all my lines every Monday morning. Anyone else have a simple pre-shift check they swear by now?

How many times did you slip before you started that walk-around?

@lindag33, one leak is all it takes.

Ever have a leak so bad it rewires your brain? Mine was a hydraulic line that gave my shop floor an impromptu oil slick, and now I do a full walk-around like I'm checking on a sleeping baby. It probably takes more time than the actual cleanup did.

@andrewreed probably has a leak story of his own tucked away somewhere, maybe one that turned his garage into a slip-n-slide. Hydraulic fluid is sneaky stuff too, it gets everywhere before you even realize it's gone. That walk-around thing is smart though, I started doing something similar after a coolant line let go on me. Now I check everything twice before I even turn the key, probably looks like I'm paranoid but better that than mopping up another mess.
