PSA: dropped $340 on a tool presetter app that can't even read my CAT40 holders right
Bought this phone app 3 months back that's supposed to measure tool offsets with a printed target sheet, cost me $340 for the year. Spent a whole Saturday setting it up on my Haas VF2 and the numbers were off by .008 on every single holder I checked against our real presetter. Called support twice and the guy just kept saying it works better in bright light, which is garbage in a shop with chips flying around. I ate the cost and went back to touching off with paper like always. Did any of you actually get one of these apps to hold tolerance, or did I just burn $340 for nothing?
