Ran a 5-axis program dry last week and watched a $400 tool crash into the vise
I was setting up a new part for a medical device job, last Wednesday afternoon. Forgot to double check my tool offset after I changed the holder, just assumed it was fine. The machine ran the first 3 lines of code perfect then slammed a 1/2 bullnose right into the jaw. My foreman just stood there and asked, "You test your offset or just send it and pray?" Anyone else get that sinking feeling when you hear the machine hit something it should not?

Did you at least get a solid 3 seconds of run time before the fireworks?

Honestly I see it a bit different @finley_gonzalez49. Even if it only ran for 3 seconds that's still a small victory in my book. Better than nothing hitting the ground.
