The_diana's got me rethinking my whole life because I've definitely been the guy who swaps out three inserts before giving the coolant tank a second glance. Ran a job last spring where I was ready to blame the tool grinder for a weird haze on the parts, turned out the coolant was so old it looked like swamp water. Ended up having to dump the whole system and start fresh, felt like a real genius. My boss still brings it up whenever I start yelling at the tooling cabinet.

Hard disagree on that being step one. Seen too many guys waste time messing with coolant mix when the real issue was a worn insert or a bad feed rate. Gotta look at the whole picture, not just the first thing you think of. The tool and the cut settings tell you way more before you even check the tank.
