Can we talk about how my code went from 400 lines to 12 in 3 months?
When I started learning Python back in January, my first real project was a script to rename photos for my mom's bakery. It was 400 lines of copy pasted code with about 30 loops, and I was so proud of it. Last week I looked at that same file and rewrote the whole thing in 12 lines using a dictionary and one loop. The thing that changed me was a free Codecademy lesson on list comprehension, which I put off for 3 months since I assumed it was too advanced. Anyone else have an old project where you just want to apologize to your past self?
