I finally picked Python over JavaScript for my first language, but the free course I tried in March made me question it

Everyone keeps saying just pick one and start, so I went with Python because the syntax looked less scary, and I got through 40 lessons before hitting loops. My buddy swears JavaScript is better since you can see stuff on a webpage right away, and honestly that instant feedback sounds way more fun. Did anyone here start with one and wish they'd gone the other way?
