Just figured out CSS Flexbox after staring at it for 2 days straight

I've been messing around with HTML for a few months now, but Flexbox always tripped me up. Took me from last Saturday until Monday night to really get how justify-content and align-items work together. I was in my kitchen with a notebook trying to draw boxes and arrows to make sense of it. Finally clicked when I built a simple card layout with a header, body, and footer. You know that feeling when something just snaps into place? Has anyone else had a specific project that finally made a concept make sense?

My buddy spent like 3 days trying to figure out CSS Grid and it wasn't until he tried to make a magazine-style layout with a featured article and a sidebar that it finally clicked for him. He texted me at like 2am with a screenshot of this janky looking page with text overlapping everywhere and was like "I DID IT" lol. The funny thing is he was so proud of it even though it looked awful visually, but the structure was technically correct. He rebuilt it like five times that week just trying different configurations. Flexbox took me way longer than I'd like to admit too, that card layout thing you did is basically the perfect starter project.

Try building a navbar with a logo on the left and links on the right, that was my aha moment.

Honestly that's so true, once you get it, it's like that shelf that finally stays up.
