Spent $80 on a Udemy course and regretted it immediately

I bought a Python course for beginners last week, $80 on sale from $200. The first 2 hours were just the guy explaining what Python is. I could have watched a free YouTube video for that. Then he skipped straight to OOP without explaining loops properly. Has anyone else wasted money on a hyped up course that just confused you more?

You said "the first 2 hours were just the guy explaining what Python is" like that's a bad thing. That's exactly what a beginner course should do. You can't just jump into coding without understanding the basics of the language itself. If you already knew what Python was, why buy a beginner course? That's on you for not reading the description. And yeah, he skipped loops and went to OOP. That's actually a good teaching method for some people. It shows you the big picture first so you know where you're headed. Loops are boring if you don't know why they matter. I've taken Udemy courses that did the same thing and ended up loving them once I trusted the process. Maybe the course just wasn't for you, but that doesn't mean it's a scam.

Refund it immediately, Udemy has a 30 day policy and you can find better free resources on YouTube.
