Stood in a library in Pittsburgh and saw how coding changed in 10 years

I was at the Carnegie Library downtown last weekend looking for old computer books... the ones from 2014 about Python were gathering dust on a bottom shelf while kids around me were using tablets to learn. It made me wonder, do you all still use physical books for learning or is it all YouTube and chat apps now?

Nah, you're not alone on that lol. I still grab physical books for certain things too, like trying to learn C++ or something heavy where I need to flip back and forth between chapters real fast. The smell thing is real but also the feeling of not getting distracted by a YouTube tab or a Discord ping is huge for me. Plus there's something about seeing the spine cracked and the dog-eared pages that makes you feel like you actually put in the work versus just skimming a video playlist. But for quick stuff like a new framework or syntax changes, I'm scrolling a tutorial on my phone just like everyone else these days lol.
