Broke my espresso machine and found a hack with a microwave

My old Gaggia finally died after 8 years last Tuesday... I was too broke to replace it right away. Tried microwaving a tiny cup of water for 30 seconds and stirring in some instant espresso as a desperate fix. Honestly it's not bad... not great but drinkable with a splash of oat milk. Anybody else ever fall back on instant when their machine goes down?

Read somewhere that microwaving water is basically the same as boiling it... close enough for me.

Went through the same thing last year and realized how much we overthink our morning coffee rituals. The microwave hack gets a bad rep but honestly most of us just need caffeine and warmth, not some artisan pour over experience.

Wait actually microwaving water can make it heat unevenly, so you might get a cold spot or a sudden burst of steam when you stir it in. Definitely close enough for most days though lol.
