Changed my mind about pre-ground coffee after a camping trip up north

Took me 3 hours to get my camp stove percolator working because the grind was too fine. Switched to grinding beans right before I left and it made coffee in 10 minutes flat. Anyone else have a stubborn percolator moment?

Burned my tongue on the first sip because I was so excited it actually worked. I mean, I spent a solid 20 minutes just staring at the percolator like it was a science experiment gone wrong. The first try was basically mud water, and then I realized I forgot to put the top on so coffee grounds were everywhere. So yeah, I feel your pain on that stubborn percolator moment. Maybe it's just me but I swear that thing has a personal vendetta against my morning routine.

Honestly the first time I made coffee I forgot water entirely and just burned the grounds in the pot.
