Found out my old percolator from 1972 brews at 212 degrees
I was reading through an old Better Homes and Gardens from the 70s I found at a thrift store, and apparently that classic percolator method hits boiling temps, which is way hotter than the 195-205 degrees modern coffee folks recommend. Has anyone else gone back to an old method and been surprised by the numbers?

Well, isn't that something. It's funny how we keep circling back to the old ways and find out they were actually doing things right, just with simpler tools. Kinda makes you wonder what other "little improvements" we've talked ourselves into over the years that aren't really better.

Ngl my grandpa's hand tools still outwork half my power tools.
