My coffee gear spreadsheet hit 100 entries yesterday

It started as a simple list of beans I liked. Now it's got every bag, roast date, and brew method from the last two years. Seeing that triple-digit count made me realize how deep this hobby has gotten. Anyone else track their coffee this closely, or am I just extra?

Okay but Allen's two minute note system is the only thing standing between me and buying that same gross light roast from the corner store three more times. My memory is Swiss cheese. I once bought the same bad bag of beans FOUR times because I just kept thinking "ooh, pretty package." Now I have a note on my phone that just says "Do NOT get the 'Sunrise Bliss' from QuickMart, tastes like wet dirt." Saved me like twenty bucks.

It's not a lab, it's just how I learn what I like. The notes take two minutes and save me from buying bad coffee again.

Honestly, that's not extra at all. That spreadsheet is your safety net against bad coffee decisions. Ngl, I respect the hell out of a system that works, no matter how nerdy it looks. Mistakes cost money and bad mornings, so tracking saves both. Mia calling it a lab is missing the point that consistency in coffee is actually hard. You do you, and keep that spreadsheet alive.
