My coffee gear spreadsheet hit 100 entries yesterday
It started as a simple list of beans I liked. Now it's got every bag, roast date, and brew method from the last two years. Seeing that triple-digit count made me realize how deep this hobby has gotten. Anyone else track their coffee this closely, or am I just extra?

Every bag, roast date, and brew method" for two whole years? That's a level of record keeping I usually save for my taxes. I get noting down a great bag, but this sounds like you're running a lab, not making a morning drink. What's next, a spreadsheet for your cereal milk ratios?

Okay but Allen's two minute note system is the only thing standing between me and buying that same gross light roast from the corner store three more times. My memory is Swiss cheese. I once bought the same bad bag of beans FOUR times because I just kept thinking "ooh, pretty package." Now I have a note on my phone that just says "Do NOT get the 'Sunrise Bliss' from QuickMart, tastes like wet dirt." Saved me like twenty bucks.

It's not a lab, it's just how I learn what I like. The notes take two minutes and save me from buying bad coffee again.
