My new grinder jammed on some oily beans from Guatemala and I had to take it apart in my kitchen

I was trying to dial in a dark roast from a local roaster in Portland, and the whole thing just stopped with a loud hum. I had to look up a video, find my small screwdriver, and clean out all the stuck grounds before it would work again. Has anyone else had a grinder jam up, and what's the best way to clean it fast?

Built like a tank" until it's not, huh? Sounds like your kitchen turned into a repair shop for a minute. At least you found the screwdriver.

My Baratza never jams, even with oily dark roasts from Portland.

My Encore has been grinding oily beans from Seattle for three years, zero clogs. These things are built like tanks.

Had a friend with a cheap grinder that gummed up after one bag of dark roast. Threw it out and got a used Baratza from a cafe. Thing still runs.
