Pour over vs. French press, one of them is objectively worse for my weekday mornings

I dialed in both methods over 3 weeks in Chicago, and the French press beat pour over every single time on cleanup time and consistency, but the pour over tasted brighter, so is the extra 4 minutes and paper filter waste actually worth it for a flavor difference most people can't even name?

Four minutes feels like forever when I'm barely awake and just want coffee. I timed myself too, French press took me 90 seconds of actual work versus like 6 minutes for pour over total. But that brightness is real, I could tell the difference on day two when I had a light roast from a local roaster. Honestly for a Tuesday morning I'll take the French press every time, it's just not even a contest. Pour over is my weekend ritual when I actually have time to enjoy the process instead of rushing out the door.
