Unpopular opinion: switching from pre-ground to grinding right before brewing gave me the biggest coffee upgrade I've had in 2 weeks
I bought a cheap hand grinder for $28 off Amazon 2 weeks ago and told myself it probably wouldn't matter much since I was already using decent beans. Day one the coffee tasted about the same, but by day four I noticed my usual batch didn't have that burnt bitter taste at the bottom of the mug anymore. I also stopped needing to add as much cream, which was weird to me at first. My roommate tried a cup on Saturday and said it tasted like the stuff from the cafe down the street, which honestly surprised me. Has anyone else had a small change like this make a bigger difference than a fancy new machine?
