Warning: I judged a guy for putting ice in his pour over, then I actually listened to him
I was at the cafe on Saturday morning and this guy at the next table dropped two ice cubes into his pour over, and I almost said something. He caught me looking and just said "hot coffee tastes flat to me after the first few sips, cold keeps the fruit notes sharp the whole cup." I went home and did it with a washed Ethiopian I had sitting around for 8 days, and he was right, the blueberry thing stayed put instead of fading by the last third. Now I'm wondering what else I've been smug about for no reason. Anyone here mess with flash brewing or is that a step too far?
