Wasted $200 on a fancy espresso machine that I barely use now
I got caught up in the hype last year and bought this high-end espresso machine from a local shop in Portland. Thought it would pay for itself over time compared to cafe trips. But honestly, after the first month, the cleaning routine got old real fast. Descale warnings every few weeks, having to dial in beans every morning, and the mess on my counter was annoying. I ended up spending more on fresh beans than I ever did at the coffee shop down the street. Now it's just sitting there collecting dust while I walk to Brew & Bean twice a day. Anyone else regret going deep into home espresso?

Honestly that "descale warnings every few weeks" part is the real hidden cost people never talk about with machines like that.

Completely agree, my machine did the same thing constantly.
