A guy at a Denver bus stop called me cheap for bringing my own coffee and I'm still mad he was kind of right
He watched me pull a thermos out of my bag last Tuesday, laughed and said 'so you'll do anything to save four bucks except admit you like it,' and the thing is I've complained about my coffee habit for 2 years while actually enjoying the whole ritual of making it at home.

Laughed reading this because I do the exact same thing. I bought a $6 pour over thing at a thrift store two years ago and now I get up 20 minutes early just to boil water and watch it drip, and I tell everyone it's because I'm broke. My roommate caught me smelling the beans at the store last month and asked why I act like it's a chore when I clearly love it. The bus stop guy was rude but he read you like a book.
