Caught myself lying about recycling at a friend's apartment last night

I always say I'm super careful about recycling. But when I was at my buddy Mark's place in Brooklyn, I tossed a soda can in the trash because I couldn't find the recycle bin. I didn't say anything to him about it, just acted normal. Later I realized how easy it is to break your own rules when nobody's watching. Anyone else catch themselves doing something that goes against what they claim to believe?

Mark's recycling bin is literally right under the sink, man.

Nah I gotta disagree with you there. It might be under the sink but I've seen that guy toss a plastic bottle in the regular trash while the recycling was literally wide open. He's got the setup but zero follow through, you know? It's like having a gym membership and never going.
