Had to pick between my principles and a job offer from a company I used to criticize
I got an offer from a big fast fashion brand for a marketing role paying $85k, which was way more than my current job. I'd always posted online about how their business model was harmful. I took the job anyway because the money was too good to pass up. Now I feel like a total hypocrite every time I log into work. Has anyone else caved on a belief like this for practical reasons?

Yeah, that guilt's the real cost they don't list in the offer letter.

Read a blog post on that, @the_lee.

Guilt's part of it, but the real cost is the burnout. You end up paying with your health long after the job is done.

A friend of mine quit after the guilt sent him to the hospital with chest pains.
