Oh come ON. You guys are giving way too much credit to a dog food commercial. It's literally a company trying to sell you kibble, not some deep psychological insight into the human condition. I'm not saying I'm heartless, but I can watch a sad puppy and still NOT run out to buy Purina.

Honestly, that's the whole thing right there. We all build up this tough image, but real life just hits different. Like @jason_lewis3 said, a sad puppy gets you, and it's the same with movies or songs you've heard a hundred times. Tbh it's kind of nice to remember we're all just soft on the inside, no matter how much we talk about logic.
