My buddy asked me to fix his leaky roof for free 3 weeks after I told him I don't do free work anymore
I was standing on his porch in Fort Wayne, Indiana last Saturday, looking at the same sagging shingles I'd warned him about 6 months back, and I said yes on the spot, then spent the whole drive home trying to figure out why I folded when I swore I was done with freebies, so has anyone else had a friend put them in that spot and how do you say no without killing the friendship?
