My neighbor in Phoenix said 'maybe we should stop watering the grass' during a chat about his bill.

I've always thought a green lawn was just part of a nice home, but his comment about the 300 dollar water cost last month stuck with me. Has anyone else had a simple conversation make them question a long held habit?

Honestly, my lawn looks like a sad hayfield but my wallet is happy. Tbh, that 300 bucks sounds like a down payment on a pool you can't even fill.

Lol wren gets it. Nina's perfect lawn just means more work for everyone else.

lewis you're right, I saw this thing on the news the other day about how some HOAs are literally making people mow their lawns with scissors if the grass is too long. It's nuts. Nina's perfect lawn is her business but the guy next door probably has to water his dead grass just to keep up, and that's just wasting money. Who has time for that anyway.

A perfect lawn shows you care about your home and your whole street's look.
